ใครจะเชื่อว่ามีเรื่องเล่าเกี่ยวกับอาถรรพ์ของโทรศัพท็โบราณ ที่นักสะสมของโบราณนิยม ไปซื้อมาเก็บสะสมไว้ อย่างโทรศัพท์โบราณที่เป็นของตกทอดในสมัยขุนนางอังกฤษผู้หนึ่ง มีเรื่องเล่าว่าท่านลอร์ดผู้นี้ได้รับอาสาให้ไปปฏิบัติงานสมัยสงครามโลก ครั้งที่1 แล้วท่านก็ได้ถูกฆ่าตายจากกองทัพทหารจากฝ่ายที่ต่อสู้ด้วยในบ้านพักของท่าน เอง ในขณะที่ท่านกำลังสั่งการกับนายทหารคนสนิทผ่านโทรศัพท์บ้านที่บ้านพักของท่าน เวลาผ่านมาเนินนานของสะสมโบราณใน บ้านของท่านลอร์ดถูกประมูลขายออกมาทีละชิ้น จนมาถึงชิ้นที่เป็นโทรศัพท์โบราณที่ท่านได้ใช้เป็นครั้งสุดท้ายก่อนจะเสีย ชีวิต ว่ากันว่านักสะสมโบราณที่ประมูลโทรศัพท์โบราณนี้ได้ รายแรก เกิดอาการประสาหลอนเพราะมักจะได้ยินเสียงโทรศัพท์ตอนกลางคืนดังขึ้นอยู่เสมอ เเต่พอรับกลับไม่มีคนพูด เมื่อคนในครอบครัวทนไม่ได้ จึงตัดสินใจขายโทรศัพท์โบราณเครื่อง นั้นทิ้งไป นักสะสมโบราณจากฝั่งอาหรับได้รับซื้อโทรศัพท์บ้านเครื่องนั้นไว้ และได้ยินเสียงโทรศัพท์ดังขึ้นตอนกลางคืนอีกเช่นกันติดต่อกันหลายคืน เค้าตัดสินใจไม่รับโทรศัพท์บ้านเครื่องนั้น จนในที่สุดภรรยาของเขาเกิดทนไม่ไหวเลยรับโทรศัพท์ไว้เอง และคราวนี้เสียงที่ ได้ยินจากโทรศัพท์และพูดว่า “ฮัลโหล…นี่ออร์แกนนะ ดีใจจังที่หนุ่มเนื้อหอมอย่างคุณโทรมาหา ต้องอย่างนี้สิคะที่รัก รับรองเด็ดถึงใจคุณแน่ๆ ” แล้วก้อทะเลาะกับสามีจนเลือดตกยางออก โดยหารู้ไม่ว่านั่นเป็นเสียงโทรศัพท์บ้านตามสายของโฆาณาโคโลน์AXe
